What's Wild?

Kindergarten students are enjoying their first videoconference this week with the NC Wildlife Resources program, "What's Wild?".  These 30 minute programs discuss the difference between wild animals and pets.  Pets need someone to give them food and water each day.  Wild animals find their own food and water.  They also learned about different ways to group animals.

Fire Prevention Week

It's Fire Prevention Week and all students will visit the Rural Hall Fire Department and learn about fire safety and prevention.  Do you remember "Stop, Drop, and Roll?"  Ask your child what that means.

To begin the week, the Fire Station held Open House on Sunday from 2-4 PM.  Fun was had by all with a dunking booth, a crashed car, free snow cones, the little Fire Truck, and of course, Smokey the Bear and the Fire Dog!

4th Graders Have Read-in

The Demon Deacon visits Rural Hall School and greets the Principal, Rusty Hall.  He was at school to share his love of reading with students.  Several football team members came and read to the students.
